Governance
In Parable of the Sower, the US government was an active enemy of the Earthseed community. Meanwhile in Philly, we have a long history of state violence, unabated even after the 2020 uprisings, while the threat of fascism rises. This violence “trickles down” into our communities on an interpersonal level.
What is the difference between governance and government? What does democracy really look like? How can we share responsibility, navigate conflict, and be accountable to each other as we collectively create new worlds?
Join us on Saturday, February 24th, 2pm – 6pm as we take a deep dive into governance and hear from local folx actively modeling new ways of sharing power within and between communities.
